The collaboration is part of NIA’s broader strategy to position itself as a multimodal transport hub, offering passengers a frictionless transition from terminal to destination.

Under the new arrangement, Rapido will operate exclusive pick-up zones within the airport premises, supported by on-ground staff, clear way-finding guides, and reserved parking spaces for its driver-partners.

“As we gear up to welcome passengers, ensuring a smooth and stress-free journey beyond the terminal is essential to the overall travel experience we’re building at Noida International Airport,” said Christoph Schnellmann, CEO of NIA. “Our partnership with Rapido is another step in this direction—enabling us to offer reliable, app-based mobility options that are accessible to all.”

The app-based service, available 24/7, is designed to serve the varying needs of travelers with multiple ride options, real-time tracking, and cashless payments. Safety features, such as in-app SOS functionality and access to driver details, will also be integrated to enhance user confidence.

“We are pleased to partner with Noida International Airport to introduce Rapido’s Airport Cab Services designed to offer passengers a seamless, tech-enabled transit experience right from the terminal,” said Rajiv Bhyri, Assistant Vice President of Cabs at Rapido. “Our SaaS-based model enables competitive fares for passengers while ensuring better earnings for driver-partners—striking a balance between affordability and sustainability.”

The airport, which is being developed by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG, is set to become a key aviation gateway for the Delhi-NCR region and Western Uttar Pradesh. The greenfield project, expected to handle up to 12 million passengers annually in its initial phase, features a single terminal and runway, with future expansion already planned.
