Nothing CEO Carl Bhai advises Musk to change name to 'Elon Bhai'

In a series of playful exchanges on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, Nothing CEO Carl Pei, now going by 'Carl Bhai', has sparked a meme fest that's catching everyone's attention.

The fun began when Pei responded to a user's question about the necessity of a brand ambassador with a candid, "We want to sell more phones bhai," using the Hindi term for brother. This led to a rebranding spree, with Nothing India becoming 'Nothing India Bhai' and even co-founder Akis Evangelidis joining in.

The banter didn't stop there. Pei humorously suggested that billionaire Elon Musk to consider renaming himself 'Elon Bhai' to resonate with the Indian audience and to open Tesla factory in India.

".@elonmusk did you really think you could build a Tesla factory in India without changing your username to Elon Bhai?" Pei wrote in a post on X.

The advice comes at a time when Tesla is reportedly nearing an agreement with India to start shipping its electric cars by 2024 and establish a manufacturing unit within two years. However, Tesla's plans had previously been put on hold in 2022, partly due to unsuccessful negotiations for lower import taxes.

Adding to the camaraderie, Aravind Srinivas, co-founder and CEO of Perplexity AI, engaged with Pei, leading to Srinivas adopting 'Aravind Bhai' as his new moniker on X, humorously sealing a partnership between the two.

Carl's post soon went viral, garnering over 1.7 million views with 21,000 likes. "Elon should take the advice." People also started sharing funny reactions to Carl Pei's post. Below are some of them:
