At present, Ola Dash serves customers in nine cities, including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Jaipur, and Lucknow – through its 'Store to Door' service that delivers products in 10 minutes.

Additionally, The company says it plans to increase the order size to more than 500,000 per day by the end of the year. The announcement comes amid other quick commerce (q-commerce) delivery startups such as Blinkit (previously Grofers), Zepto, Dunzo, and Instamart, doubling their investment to expand presence across cities.

Earlier this year, Dunzo had raised $240 million in funding from Reliance Retail and other investors. In December 2021, Foodtech major Swiggy had also announced expansion plans for its quick commerce vertical Instamart.

Ola Dash, which was launched as Ola Store on the Ola app, delivers a range of products like fresh produce, snacks and beverages, instant food, home care products, fruits and vegetables, and cooking essentials, to name a few.

"Ola has been a leader in the on-demand mobility business for more than a decade. Our advanced geolocation tech, coupled with a very low cost of customer acquisition, gives us a unique advantage to bring the benefits of mobility to all," Ola Chief Marketing Officer Anshul Khandelwal said in a statement.

According to a report by RedSeer, the quick commerce sector in India is expected to grow to US$5 billion by 2025 from the current US$300 million. Google-backed Dunzo and foodtech major Swiggy's Instamart are the leaders in the quick commerce segment, the report added.
