Bhavish Aggarwal, the co-founder of the ride-hailing behemoth Ola, is reportedly considering stepping down as the CEO of the cab business. The company is said to be in the process of onboarding a new executive to oversee cab business operations.

An ET report suggests that Ola has brought on board a former executive from Unilever to lead the cab segment. Until now, Aggarwal has been at the helm of both the cab and electric scooter divisions.

While there hasn't been an official statement from the company on this development, the report indicates that Hemant Bakshi, currently serving as the global head and executive vice president of Unilever Marketplace in Singapore, might assume the role of the company's new CEO.

Bakshi, who once led Unilever Indonesia as its president and director, embarked on his professional journey with Unilever India three decades ago.

It's worth mentioning that since Ola's foundation in 2010, Bhavish has held the position of CEO. However, when Ola Electric was established, he delegated several responsibilities related to the cab business to other executives.

The development comes after Bhavish Aggarwal registered a new entity named Krutrim Si Designs Pvt Ltd, a startup focused on AI (artificial intelligence).
