Ride-hailing company Rapido faced a widespread outage on Wednesday, leaving users in several major Indian cities unable to book rides.

Several users reported error message “Oops! Something went wrong” while attempting to access the app in cities including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai. Similar complaints also surfaced from Mumbai, Lucknow, Raipur and other urban centres, suggesting a broader technical disruption.

Rapido, which competes with Uber and Ola Cabs, has not issued an official statement explaining the cause of the outage or providing a timeline for restoration of services.

There was no immediate clarity on whether the disruption was linked to server issues, app glitches or backend infrastructure problems.
