Oral-care brand Perfora has announced that it has raised $2.5 million in a new funding round led by RPSG Capital Ventures to scale its operations digitally through marketplaces and on other ecommerce platforms.
Other investors in the funding round included Sauce VC, Lotus Herbals Family Office, Sara International Family Office, and Huddle, among others.
Perfora, which was founded by Jatan Bawa and Tushar Khurana, is an oral-care brand that offers a range of products, including a Smart Electric Toothbrush, SLS free toothpaste, enamel-safe teeth whitening pen and powder, smart dental flosser, alcohol-free probiotic mouthwash, and more.
Perfora said that it aims to transform oral hygiene for Indian consumers and has experts to create safe and effective products using toxic-free ingredients and the latest technology.
The firm claims that its toothpaste is certified and does not contain any toxic ingredients. The startup was also featured in Shark Tank India Season 2. The founders came to the show to raise Rs 80 lakh in exchange for 1% equity but ended up raising Rs 80 lakh for 2.5% equity, valuing the company at Rs 32 crore.
