OTT giant Netflix offering Rs 7.4 crore salary for a role of AI Product Manager

OTT giant Netflix said it is hiring for a role of AI Product Manager for its Machine Learning platform with an annual salary of up to $900,000, which makes Rs 7.4 crore in Indian currency.

The company didn't provide the exact payout. However, It said that the payout for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $300,000 - $900,000.

The product manager role will involve utilizing AI across all aspects of Netflix's business, including content acquisition and personalizing user recommendations.

According to the company, The role involves gathering valuable insights from ML/AI practitioners and application engineers spread across the Netflix organization. Feedback collected will contribute to deriving product requirements and evaluating their significance to the platform. The results of this analysis will inform the prioritization of investment areas, aligning them with user needs and product enhancement.

The company said the AI Product Manager will be tasked with presenting strategic plans, progress updates, and roadmaps to stakeholders and executives at various forums. 

Additionally, the product manager will lead efforts in developing programs for user education and support, which cater to the users of the MLP.

"The Machine Learning Platform (MLP) provides the foundation for all of this innovation. It offers ML/AI practitioners across Netflix the means to achieve the highest possible impact with their work by making it easy to develop, deploy and improve their machine-learning models, it adds.

Apart from this, Netflix is also offering an annual salary of $650,000 (Rs 5 crore) for the role of technical director in its Game Studio which requires the knowledge of AI (artificial-intelligence).
