Digital payments platform Paytm has launched a UPI statement download feature, enabling users to easily track and manage their expenses.
The new feature offers downloadable statements in PDF format and aims to support efficient tax filing by providing detailed transaction histories. Paytm plans to introduce Excel format soon to further expand the feature’s flexibility.
Accessible transaction records for better financial management
The UPI statement download feature, accessible through the “Balance & History” section in the Paytm app, provides a detailed view of all UPI transactions.
Users can choose specific date ranges, including entire financial years, and generate statements that display transaction amounts, recipient details, linked bank accounts, and timestamps. This enhancement is expected to cater to users seeking transparency and precision in financial management, making it easier to track spending, set budgets, and maintain comprehensive financial records.
Focused on tax filers and budget-conscious users
With the growing trend of digital payments, Paytm’s UPI statement download is particularly beneficial for users preparing for tax filing.
By allowing easy access to organized financial records, the feature aims to simplify the preparation process, helping users and tax professionals keep accurate, accessible records.
This initiative aligns with Paytm’s ongoing commitment to improve users’ financial management experience and empower them to make informed financial decisions.
"Our commitment to advancing mobile payments drives us to offer services that simplify financial management and provide convenience for our users. With the UPI statement download, we innovate to offer easy access to transaction history, empowering users to make informed financial decisions," a Paytm spokesperson said.
Expanding Paytm’s ecosystem of digital financial tools
Paytm’s new UPI statement download complements its existing suite of digital payment solutions. The platform supports various UPI features such as Peer-to-Peer (P2P) transfers, enabling users to send funds to both merchants and individuals across different UPI apps.
The platform has also integrated UPI Lite for small transactions under Rs 2,000, helping users keep their bank statements uncluttered.
Additionally, Paytm enables users to link RuPay Credit Cards with UPI, making it easy to manage bill payments through an auto-pay feature and allowing convenient bank balance checks and self-transfers.
