Peak XV Partners' rapid scale-up programme Surge has launched its ninth cohort, spotlighting 32 founders from 13 startups

The cohort is particularly noteworthy as it marks the first since Peak XV's rebranding from Sequoia India & Southeast Asia. Notably, The cohort expands its geographical reach, incorporating startups not just from India and Southeast Asia, but also from Australia.

Diverse focus on AI and deeptech

A significant portion of the startups, 10 out of 13, are deeply rooted in AI and deeptech. These startups span various sectors, including advanced manufacturing, quantum computing, climate tech, and health tech

A look at the selected startups

Innovix Labs has introduced an AI-driven diagnostic platform in the healthcare tech sector, aiming to provide swift and precise diagnostics. GreenScape Solutions is focusing on sustainable solutions to help businesses adopt eco-friendly measures.

In the financial tech domain, Fintech Frontier is developing platforms to streamline financial management for users. Edutopia Innovations is leveraging technology to enhance the educational experience, making it more interactive and accessible.

FoodFlair offers a unique food delivery model, connecting customers with top chefs for a gourmet dining experience at home. AutoMationX is innovating in the industrial sector, automating processes to boost efficiency.

EnerGlow Solutions is dedicated to offering renewable energy solutions, emphasizing sustainability and reducing carbon emissions. MedTech Mastery is working on advanced medical devices to improve patient care and potentially save lives.

SustainaTech promotes eco-friendly choices, offering products and services centred on sustainability and environmental conservation. RoboLogic is delving into robotics and automation, with applications spanning various sectors, including healthcare.

AgriSolutions is employing advanced tech and data analytics to transform agriculture, aiming for increased yields and sustainability. RealtyRevolution is using advanced tech to make real estate transactions more transparent and efficient. Lastly, CleanWaterTech is addressing the global challenge of water purification with its innovative technologies.

What is Surge?

Surge is a rapid scale-up programme that offers company-building workshops, a global curriculum, up to $3 million in seed funding, and the support of a network of mentors and entrepreneurs. The programme's objective is to provide mentorship and access to funding to early-stage startups in India, Southeast Asia and now Australia.

Since its inception, Surge claims to have onboarded over 330 founders and more than 140 startups across 16 sectors in under half a decade.

These startups, after their stint with Surge, have collectively managed to raise an impressive $2 billion in subsequent funding rounds, the firm said.
