People Matters, a media platform for HR and talent leaders in India and APAC, has announced a leadership change following its full acquisition by Japan-based HR giant Mynavi Corporation.
Pushkaraj Bidwai, a founding member and former Chief Business Officer (CBO) of People Matters, has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and member of the Board of Directors.
He replaces Ester Martinez, the company’s founder and former CEO, who is stepping down after 15 years to explore personal interests.
The leadership transition marks a new chapter for People Matters as it seeks to enhance its position in the People and Work community across Asia.
Strategic expansion with Mynavi's support
The acquisition by Mynavi provides People Matters with substantial backing to execute its growth plans and expand its influence.
“We have long admired the work and impact of People Matters in the People and Work community. With Pushkar succeeding, we have full confidence in his leadership and vision to spearhead this next phase of growth," said Kazumasa Yoshida, Director of Global Business at Mynavi Corporation.
The acquisition also benefits long-term employees of People Matters, as it allowed them to exercise their ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) rights and benefit financially through cash-out options.
