Petcare startup Sploot raises Rs 5.2Cr led by Info Edge

Listed Internet player Info Edge, which operates platforms such as Naukri and 99Acres, has invested Rs 5.2 crore in a New Delhi-based pet care startup Sploot through its wholly-owned subsidiary Redstart Labs (India) Ltd.

As part of the transaction, Sploot has issued 1822 preference shares to Redstart, which is an existing investor in the firm. Prior to this, the startup raised $500,000 in May 2022 from Redstart.

Founded by Garima Kaushal (IIM A, XIC, SRCC) and Arnav Sahni (SRCC), Sploot offers pet care products and services related to pets’ health, behaviour and nutrition through content and app-based help. The startup offers pet medical records, everyday tasks and access to pet care professionals.
