Premium EV motorcycle startup, Raptee, has announced the appointment of industry veteran Mr. C Suresh as its Head of Operations.
Suresh, who has over 25 years of experience, has been associated with major auto brands like TVS Motors, Royal Enfield, Mahindra, Ather, and Ola Electric.
His portfolio boasts iconic product launches such as the RE Classic 500, Ather 450, and Ola S1, the company said.
What will be Suresh's role at Raptee?
In his new role, Suresh will be responsible for building a comprehensive operational portfolio encompassing manufacturing engineering, quality, sourcing & supply chain, and projects.
According to the company's statement, A significant part of his role will be to set up processes, build a robust team, and plan the rollout of Raptee's upcoming products.
He will also be instrumental in constructing additional facilities to meet the anticipated demand for Raptee Motorcycles, the release notes.

Managing supplier relationships across global markets
Suresh's career in the auto industry is marked by over 13 new product launches. His customer-centric approach, combined with regular interactions and feedback sessions, has been pivotal in new product development.
He has also managed supplier relationships across various global markets, including Vietnam, China, Taiwan, and Europe, overseeing a vast network of over 200 suppliers.
Additionally, He played an important role in establishing new plants at Ather and Ola Future Factory.
Raptee to launch its first motorcycle
The development comes amid Raptee is gearing up to launch its first motorcycle by early next year.
Raptee said that its upcoming motorcycle is designed and developed in India and boasts 45+ registered patents. It promises to be tech-driven, with features like Bluetooth connectivity, throttle mapping, and blind-spot detection.
The company recently secured $3 million in a Pre-Series A funding round and has set up a new factory in Chennai.
Founded in 2019 by four engineers from Chennai, Raptee aims to redefine electric mobility with motorcycles that are intuitive, powerful, and equipped with cutting-edge technology.
