- Krafton Inc. has signed a deal with tech giant Microsoft to host its user's data on the Azure cloud services for data security.
- With this deal, Microsoft Azure will host Krafton subsidiary companies' products, including PUBG Mobile, to ensure the safety and security of its users' data.
Krafton Inc., the parent of PUBG Corporation, has announced that the company has signed a deal with Microsoft to host products by its subsidiary companies, including PUBG Mobile on Azure cloud services, to ensure the safety and security of its users' data.
The South-Korean company Krafton Inc. said the company would be working with the Microsoft-owned Azure cloud services to host its multiple products, including PUBG Mobile.
Though, the deal does not confirm or mean that the PUBG Mobile will unban In India. As reported, the government said that the localization of the game or Chinese ownership is not only the reason for its ban.
Here are some noticeable reasons of PUBG Mobile getting banned in India:
- The first foremost reason which led to the ban is that the game is a threat to national security and integrity.
- Another reason was the ongoing conflict with China.
- There have also been news reports that game addiction has caused violence and suicides in the last two years.
PUBG Mobile which was banned by the Indian government two months ago. Reports said the Indian government banned PUBG Mobile among other 117 apps due to security concerns.
In response to the ban, PUBG Corporation released a press note saying that the company will end the partnership with China-based Tencent Holdings for its India operations.
Since then, PUBG Corporation parent Krafton has been looking for an Indian company for a partnership to relaunch the Indian version of PUBG Mobile.
Earlier in October 2020, PUBG Mobile officially posted a job on its Linkedin page, seeking for Corporate Development Division Manager, which will handle PUBG Mobile India operations.

As reported, On October 29, 2020, PUBG Mobile Official on its Facebook page posted that, " Tencent Games will terminate all services and access for users in India to PUBG MOBILE Nordic Map: Livik and PUBG MOBILE Lite (together, “PUBG Mobile”) on October 30, 2020. The rights to publish PUBG MOBILE in India will be returned to the owner of the PUBG intellectual property.
Later after week, PUBG Mobile official deleted that Facebook post, indicating that the services and access were not yet fully terminated. In fact, PUBG Mobile global version is still playable on some phones and emulators.
According to the reports, PUBG Corporation has secretly informed some Indian streamers that it expects the official game relaunch by the end of this year. However, there is no official date confirmed for the relaunch of the game.
