Redcliffe Labs, a rapidly expanding omnichannel diagnostics service provider in India, has partnered with the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB) in Thiruvananthapuram.
According to the company's statement, the partnership aims to operate a state-of-the-art laboratory equipped with Single Cell Genomics and High-Throughput Sequencing technologies, a unique blend in the realm of modern genomics.
Redcliffe Labs' Genomic Prowess
Since its establishment in 2018, Redcliffe Labs has been a pioneer in genomics research, championing innovation and promoting genetic screening for the public's welfare.
The company claims to have delivered over 1,000 genomics studies and projects. Additionally, It has sequenced and analyzed more than 50,000 samples from diverse clinical backgrounds, ranging from Reproductive to Rare Disorders.
Furthermore, Its research division has sequenced a variety of samples, including those from crucial agricultural crops like Pulses and Rice.
The power of single-cell genomics
RGCB's advanced genomics facility will work on projects in Single Cell genomics, a platform that offers profound insights into functional genomics.
Single-cell genomics provides a detailed understanding of different cell stages and expression patterns at the cellular level, paving the way for targeted therapies and precision medicine. With this partnership, Redcliffe Labs is poised to be India's premier lab with unparalleled capabilities in genomics.
Redcliffe Labs lab in Noida
Redcliffe Labs already operates a referral lab in Noida, equipped with comprehensive genomics infrastructure. The partnership with RGCB will introduce cutting-edge technologies to expedite sample processing from the southern region.
The company said that by establishing a lab in Thiruvananthapuram, it becomes the first in India to have two fully equipped genomics facilities.
Ashish Dubey, Director of Research at Redcliffe Labs, said, “Our focused approach towards fastest and quality delivery has put us in the top three genomics service providers in the country and the 1st to have access to 2 full-fledged Genomic labs. With the addition of this infrastructure, we are confident of delivering the projects and the clinical reports faster than before by reducing our sample transport time and logistics advantage.”
“We aim to provide efficient, cost-effective, and high throughput NGS services to Kerala’s Research centers like IISR, RCC, CIFE, IISER, NISER, CPCRI, and various PSUs. This facility will be a great support system for many genomics startups in Kerala, which is turning out to be a new home for Genomics startups after Karnataka and Telangana,” he added.
