In an era where developers increasingly dictate technology purchases, Reo.Dev emerges as a beacon for companies targeting this new breed of buyers.
With 66% of developers playing a crucial role in tech acquisition decisions, as highlighted by the 2023 StackOverflow Survey and the Boston Consulting Group's report on developers' growing sway in enterprise tech sales, Reo.Dev offers a product that accelerates sales for such tech companies where developers play a role in product purchase.
The Delaware and Bangalore-based startup uses AI to analyse developer intent from millions of open-source, public, and first-party data sources.
Raising $1.2 million pre-seed funding
To expand its offerings, Reo.Dev has raised $1.2 million in a pre-seed funding round led by India Quotient, with participation from industry veterans like Adam Frankl, ex-VP marketing at JFrog and Sourcegraph, Savin Goyal of Netflix and Outerbounds and Shraddha Gupta of Hasura also participated in the round.
Who are the founders?
Founded by Achintya Gupta, Gaurav Jain, and Piyush Agarwal, Reo.Dev helps tech companies sell more products to developers. The startup use artificial intelligence (AI) to look through different types of data, including open source and public information, to find potential customers by spotting what developers are working on. This method helps sales teams find companies that are ready to buy and helps marketing teams get better results from their campaigns.
"The sales processes for new age tech companies are changing. Historically, there was just the business buyer who was a key decision maker. But now there is an additional, increasingly influential buyer - the developer or the tech user. We feel the sales tooling for this changed GTM motion will be fundamentally different and we are building for that," Co-founder and CEO, Achintya Gupta, said.
