Roche, a biopharmaceutical company, and ZS, a global management consulting and technology firm, have jointly announced the establishment of a Business Operations Center for Advanced Analytics and Business Insights in Chennai.
According to the company's statement, The centre aims to consolidate the existing data and analytics business operations services of all Roche Pharma affiliates into a single location. Initially, the centre will employ over 50 people, with plans to gradually increase the workforce to 100.
Roche Products (India) Pvt. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Roche Group headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, was incorporated in 1994.
The inauguration of this new centre reflects the recognition of the valuable human resources available in Tamil Nadu. S. Krishnan, Additional Chief Secretary to the Government's Industries, Investment Promotion, and Commerce Department, expressed support for the initiative, emphasizing the state's R&D policies that encourage such endeavors. He also highlighted the opportunity to provide incentives to organizations to foster the development of necessary skill sets for high-value services.
The company further added that the Business Operations Center for Advanced Analytics and Business Insights will bring various capabilities, including business data operations, data quality management, global analytical product support, and other ad hoc services.
