Roombr, an AI-powered digital classroom platform focused on Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, has appointed Fayyaz Hussain as its Chief Growth Officer (CGO) to drive expansion, global growth, and upcoming fundraising initiatives.
The appointment comes as the Bengaluru-based edtech company scales rapidly, having deployed 3,000 AI-enabled smart classrooms across 1,000 schools.
Hussain, a two-time entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience in scaling technology ventures, has previously held senior leadership roles at Paytm, iBibo Group, U2opia Mobile, and Times Internet. His expertise spans early-stage go-to-market strategy, geographic expansion, fundraising, and partnerships for high-growth digital businesses.
“We are entering a scale-up phase where speed, capital strategy, and global expansion become mission-critical,” said Satisha Naraharimurthy, Founder and CEO of Roombr.
“Fayyaz’s leadership and track record in scaling tech companies make him the ideal partner to drive our next chapter as we deepen our India footprint and expand into Southeast Asia and the Middle East.”
Founded and bootstrapped by Naraharimurthy, Roombr has developed what it calls the world’s first patented AI-powered digital classroom infrastructure, integrating hardware, software, and AI-based analytics to track learning outcomes.
Designed for Indian schools and international emerging markets, the Made-in-India platform focuses on personalized instruction, measurable learning gains, and teacher enablement to address foundational education gaps at scale.
As CGO, Hussain will lead growth, strategic fundraising, and international market entry, positioning Roombr among the most innovation-led education infrastructure companies globally.
“Roombr is one of those rare Made-in-India companies solving a foundational education challenge with global-class technology,” said Fayyaz Hussain. “I look forward to working with Satish and the team to unlock new markets, expand institutional partnerships, and scale impact globally.”
Notably, the company is preparing for a major fundraising round to accelerate classroom deployment across India and build international partnerships, particularly in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
