On August 30, PM Modi addressed in his 'Mann Ki Baat' show to make India the world's largest toy manufacturing hub.
PM Modi said, India is having the huge growth potential in the toy manufacturing sector and can make India lead in this sector.
Following PM Modi's vision towards the toy sector, Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa has invited domestic and global toy manufacturers to establish their hub in Karnataka.
According to the reports, Koppal city has been identified as the best place for toy clusters because of its robust (strong and healthy ecosystem).
Furthermore, Industries minister Jagadish Shettar said that the toy manufacturing sector will get a continuous push after Prime Minister Modi said India is the best place for toy clusters and can make India lead in this sector.

PM Modi's approach towards the toy manufacturing sector can make India grow and lead in this sector. The government also offered continuous support to the manufacturers.
Moreover, PM Modi said, We can make India grow in the toy sector by promoting more 'vocal for local' under Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan
"We hope to attract the total Rs 5000 crores investment at the toy cluster and expect a generation of over 40,000 jobs in Koppal district in the next five years." PM Modi added
PM Modi also encouraged startups and companies to focus on making innovation on Toy and gaming sector. "India is the home of artists and creative minds which will directly help India to grow in this sector." He added
In the 'Mann Ki Baat,' PM Modi said, "I have considering how India can become a huge toy production hub, as toys and games can be used to build minds. Even the poet Laureate Rabindranath Tagore spoke about the importance of toys in our life".
Further, PM Modi referred to the world-famous Channapatna toys from the Karnataka district Ramanagara, while talking about India's potential in the toy sector.
According to the reports, Karnataka is the third largest toy manufacturing hub in India worth more than approx 1146 crores or USD 156 million covering 9.1% of the national market.
