Eternal CEO Deepinder Goyal and AAP MP Raghav Chadha
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha welcomed the removal of 10-minute delivery branding by quick-commerce platforms, calling it a victory for rider safety and dignity.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Chadha said the move marked a necessary step to reduce pressure on delivery partners and improve road safety.
Chadha said he was grateful to the central government for what he described as a timely and decisive intervention to enforce the removal of “10-minute delivery” claims from quick-commerce platforms.
He argued that prominently displaying ultra-fast delivery promises on riders’ jackets, bags and customer apps created constant and dangerous pressure on delivery workers.
“I am deeply grateful to the Central Government for its timely, decisive and compassionate intervention in enforcing the removal of the “10-minute delivery” branding from quick-commerce platforms. This is a much needed step because when “10 minutes” is printed on a rider’s tshirt/ jacket/ bag and a timer runs on the customer’s screen, the pressure is real, constant, and dangerous,” he wrote.
“This step will help ensure the safety of delivery riders and everyone who shares our roads,” Chadha wrote, adding that over the past several months he had spoken to hundreds of delivery partners who, he said, were overworked, underpaid and taking risks to meet unrealistic timelines.
"I thank every citizen who stood with us - you stood firmly on the side of human life, safety & dignity. And to every gig worker - you’re not alone, we’re all with you," Chadha added.

Major platforms, including Blinkit and Zepto, have reportedly begun moving away from 10-minute delivery branding following discussions with the government and labour authorities over gig worker safety and working conditions.
This comes after delivery agents of Blinkit, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart went on a nationwide strike on December 25 and New Year’s Eve.
However, Deepinder Goyal, CEO of Eternal, which owns Blinkit, said the platform was unaffected by the delivery partners’ strike, adding that Zomato and Blinkit delivered more than 75 lakh orders on New Year’s Eve.
