ServiceNow appoints Ganesh Lakshminarayanan as MD & GVP for India and SAARC region

ServiceNow, a digital workflow company, has appointed Ganesh Lakshminarayanan as Managing Director (MD) and Group Vice President (GVP) for its India and SAARC business.

The appointment, effective Jan. 6, 2025, underscores the company’s focus on expanding its footprint in one of the world’s fastest-growing markets for digital transformation.  

Veteran leadership for a key region  

Ganesh brings extensive experience in business leadership, having served as CEO of Airtel’s domestic B2B segment and as President and MD of Dell India. Known for his inclusive leadership and strong performance record, he has a reputation for building high-impact teams.  

In his new role, Ganesh will guide ServiceNow’s operations in India and the SAARC region, aiming to strengthen the company’s leadership in the digital transformation and innovation space across Asia-Pacific.

Based in Bengaluru, he will oversee the region’s business teams and work closely with the India Technology and Business Centre.  

India’s role in ServiceNow’s global strategy  

ServiceNow has identified India as a pivotal market, with over 20% of its global workforce based in the country.

The India Technology and Business Centre, led by Senior Vice President Sumeet Mathur, plays a crucial role in driving the company’s platform innovation and global operations. India also contributes more than 40% to the company’s global product engineering.
