In the bustling world of Indian reality TV, Shark Tank India's Season 3 has stirred the pot yet again. Despite having other popular sharks, including Aman Gupta, it's the original shark, Ashneer Grover, who remains the talk of the town.
However, the recent event caught the eye of every Shar Tank India fan.
Grover, who is known for his blunt and unfiltered approach, recently took to X to repost a tweet that highlighted how the show continues to use his name to get videos on YouTube despite his absence from the panel since the first season.
Needless to say, Grover's journey with Shark Tank India was a rollercoaster. He gained immense popularity in the first season for his straightforward behaviour.
However, following a dispute with BharatPe, a venture he co-founded with Shashvat Nakrani, Grover was removed from the show. He also faced backlash when a call recording was leaked, in which he allegedly used abusive language towards an employee of Kotak Wealth Management. Reportedly, the issue occurred because he was upset about not receiving an allotment of Nykaa's IPO for himself and his wife.
Following this, He was replaced by Amit Jain of Cardekho.com in the second season. Despite his departure, Grover's influence lingers, with many fans still demanding for his return.
The tweet
The issue came to light when a user shared a screenshot showing #AshneerGrover being used in video captions on YouTube, a tactic seemingly aimed at attracting more viewers.

Interestingly, the use of such hashtags was exclusive to Grover's name, as the names of other sharks from the show's second season were not included in a similar manner.
Grover's phrase "Doglapan," meaning dishonesty, gained iconic status among his followers, inspiring him to author a book titled "Doglapan."
Netizens compare Grover with Deepinder Goyal
Despite his absence, comparisons are drawn between him and new sharks like Deepinder Goyal, Zomato's CEO, noted for similar honesty and grilling skills.
The current season features a mix of returning and new judges, including Anupam Mittal of Shaadi.com, Aman Gupta of boAt, Namita Thapar of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, Azhar Iqubal of Inshorts, and Ritesh Agarwal of OYO.
