Namita Thapar
Gurugram-based logistics company Delhivery has announced the appointment of Shark Tank India judge Namita Thapar as a non-executive independent director to the board of the company with effect from February 17, 2025.
The development comes shortly after the company appointed former Airtel executive Vani Venkatesh as its Chief Business Officer (CBO).
Who is Namita Thapar?
Namita is the whole time director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, a global pharmaceutical company headquartered in Pune. It has a presence in 70+ countries and an employee strength of over 10,000.
She is heading the company's India business which is ~Rs 8,000 crore. in annual revenue. Prior to joining the family business, Namita worked for 6 years at Guidant Corporation, USA, in their business finance team.
Namita is an MBA graduate from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a Chartered Accountant from ICAI.

Delhivery claims to have a nationwide network covering over 18,700 pin codes. The company provides a wide range of logistics services such as express parcel transportation, PTL freight, TL freight, cross-border, supply chain, and technology services.
Since its inception, it has fulfilled over 3.2 billion shipments and today works with over 38,000 customers, including large and small e-commerce participants, SMEs, and other enterprises and brands.
Delhivery's financial performance
Delhivery has reported a 114% year-on-year jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 25 crore for the third quarter of fiscal year 2024-25 (FY25), up from Rs 11.7 crore in the same period last year.
This marks the second consecutive time the company has turned profitable since its listing in 2022. Revenue from operations rose 8% to Rs 2,378 crore, compared with Rs 2,194 crore a year earlier.
