Swiggy appoints Saurav Goyal to head driver & delivery org

Swiggy, the Bengaluru-based on-demand convenience platform that competes with Zomato, has elevated Saurav Goyal to the role of Head of its Driver and Delivery Org.

Goyal, who joined the company in June 2020, has until now helmed Swiggy’s Business Finance function. In that capacity, he played a critical role in aligning financial strategy with business growth, including steering the company through key phases of its IPO readiness. Saurav will now spearhead initiatives aimed at empowering delivery partners who are one of the key pillars of Swiggy’s ecosystem.

Goyal brings nearly two decades of experience to his new role, having previously held senior leadership positions at Ola, Flipkart, and Tata Communications. A strategic finance professional with a background in business transformation, Goyal is known for driving operational excellence and sustainable profitability across consumer-focused enterprises.

In a post on LinkedIn, Goyal wrote, "While I'll still be leading Business Finance for a bit, my energy is now shifting to the heart of Swiggy's mission to elevate the quality of life for the urban consumer by offering unparalleled convenience : our amazing delivery partners. They're the backbone of our reliability and reach!"
