Swiggy delivery man bring medicine for woman suffering from bad period cramps

In Ranchi, a touching act of kindness from a Swiggy delivery agent has captured the hearts of many online.

Nandini Tank, who was experiencing severe period cramps and unable to walk to the pharmacy, shared her gratitude on X (formerly Twitter).

In a post on X, She explained that after ordering food via Swiggy, she asked the delivery agent if he could also bring her some medicine. Generously, he agreed and purchased the medicine for her.

“I had sharp cramps and couldn’t walk to the medical store, so ordered food on Swiggy and asked the delivery agent if he could buy me a medicine. He was really kind enough to get me one. I made sure to tip him and thank him for his kindness," she wrote.

Nandini also posted a picture of the medicine, Meftal Spas, along with the restaurant's delivery receipt.

Netizens reaction

The post quickly went viral, amassing over 140,000 views and more than 2,000 likes, and drawing numerous comments.

While some questioned why she didn’t opt for Swiggy Genie or another online delivery service, Nandita explained that none were available at the time, leaving her with no choice but to rely on the Swiggy food delivery agent.

"Dunzo kar leti," a user wrote. Nandini replied, "Dunzo is not in Ranchi".

"That's very kind of him," another wrote.

"I once ordered a covid test kit from instamart and they added a free beer," a third wrote.

"Ye to kuch b nahi Mera delivery wala to Cigarette la deta tha," a fourth wrote.

However, amidst the accolades, concerns arose about the safety of the medicine used for treating cramps. Many cited a cautionary note from the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) dated December 2023, sharing links that highlighted potential risks associated with Meftal Spas.

Addressing these concerns, Nandita stated that she had followed her doctor's prescription and had no reason to worry.
