Sriharsha Majety–led Swiggy has expanded beyond food and grocery delivery with Pyng, a new iOS and Android app that connects users with verified professionals across more than 100 specializations — from prenatal yoga coaches and mental health counsellors to DJs, makeup artists, and astrologers.
How the app works
After downloading Pyng, users type or voice a request such as "file my GST" or "book a wedding DJ." A built‑in "search assistant" deciphers the query and instantly recommends the best‑matched specialists. When a listing opens, a second bot — the "professional's personal assistant" — explains services, prices, slots and credentials in real-time.
Consumers can chat, schedule, pay inside the app and claim a full refund if the experience falls short. Swiggy said the design eliminates hours spent scrolling websites or social feeds for trustworthy help.
A wide slate of services
Presently, Pyng hosts more than 1,000 experts covering health and wellness, finance, education, travel, events and spirituality. That roster includes yoga trainers, tax planners, career advisors, financial advisors, event planners, spiritual guides and academic tutors.
Swiggy aims to onboard at least 10,000 professionals as the marketplace scales beyond Bengaluru, where it is currently live.
Leadership comments
"As our lives become increasingly fast-paced, the demand for professional assistance—from tax planners and counsellors to yoga trainers—is growing across both personal and professional spheres," said Nandan Reddy, co-founder and head of innovation at Swiggy.
"With Pyng, we're offering a reliable, spam-free platform where users can connect with trusted experts. By curating demand for these specialised offerings, Pyng not only empowers individual providers but also brings structure to consumers' latent needs, connecting them with reliable experts who deliver real value.”
