Food delivery platform Swiggy, which battles with Deepinder Goyal-led Zomato, has introduced a 'Recruitment Support' initiative to assist its restaurant partners in overcoming staffing challenges. 

The initiative aims to connect restaurants with qualified candidates across various roles through partnerships with top staffing experts. 

Why is Swiggy launching a recruitment support initiative?

As the food services industry continues to grow rapidly, maintaining an efficient and skilled workforce has become essential for ensuring quality service.

However, the industry faces significant recruitment challenges due to high competition in the talent market and a high attrition rate. These challenges make it difficult for restaurant owners and managers to maintain a stable workforce.

Recognizing these issues, Swiggy has launched the Recruitment Support initiative to help restaurants address these staffing challenges effectively.

The Staffing Support initiative reflects our commitment to providing comprehensive solutions for their operational challenges," said Deepak Maloo, AVP of Supply at Swiggy.

Partnering with leading staffing experts

Swiggy has partnered with leading staffing experts like Apna, WorkIndia, Kaam, and Shiftz for this initiative. These partners specialize in connecting businesses with qualified candidates for various roles, including cooks/chefs, kitchen helpers, and service and cleaning staff. 

The collaboration aims to provide restaurants with access to a vast pool of talent, making the recruitment process more efficient and cost-effective.

"By partnering with leading staffing vendors, we aim to simplify hiring, reduce costs, and help our partners focus on delivering great customer experience," Maloo said. 

How will this initiative work?

The Recruitment Support initiative has been integrated into the Swiggy Partner App, offering restaurant owners direct access to job listings and candidate databases from third-party vendors at exclusive discounts.

The feature simplifies the hiring process by providing a tailored staffing solution that allows restaurant partners to quickly find the right talent, whether they need to fill a single position or build an entire team.

The company's app now serves as a comprehensive platform for managing staffing needs, reducing recruitment costs, and allowing restaurant partners to focus on delivering great food.
