Tata Technologies, a renowned global product engineering and digital services company, recently inaugurated its first innovation centre in Coimbatore.
According to the company's statement, the newly launched centre is dedicated to developing, testing, and integrating vehicle software solutions, catering to the needs of global customers.
Assisting global automotive OEMs
The company's vision, "engineering a better world," is at the forefront of this initiative. Tata Technologies said it is committed to assisting global automotive OEMs and Tier-1s in developing software-defined vehicles and e-mobility solutions. It encompasses the entire product value chain, from conceptual design to post-sales service, the release notes.
Opportunities for local talent
Tata Technologies said the Coimbatore centre will provide a platform for professionals to work on global projects, upskill in new vehicle software areas, and innovate solutions across the automotive value chain. In its first phase of operations, the centre plans to employ 100 vehicle software professionals from the local community.
The innovation centre will concentrate on various vehicle software projects. These include embedded software development and testing, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), connected vehicles, functional safety, cybersecurity, hardware-in-the-loop validation, and AUTOSAR.
