Indian technology giant Tata Consultancy Services has entered into a strategic partnership with Amazon-owned Amazon Web Services (AWS) to accelerate its customers’ cloud transformation journey at scale.
The new strategic transformation agreement with AWS will enable TCS to facilitate its customers' full-stack digital transformation by leveraging data and generative artificial intelligence (AI) solutions on AWS.
What will TCS offer?
Through this multi-year tie-up, TCS will provide its customers with tools to create modern architectures, deliver business value using state-of-the-art cloud-native capabilities and drive modernization at scale.
These include a clear cloud modernization roadmap, access to modernization platforms and tools, exclusive investment models and technology betas, and proof-of-concept (POC) projects.
The initiative targets a wide range of industries, including banking and financial services, life sciences, healthcare, travel, transportation, hospitality, manufacturing, automotive, and communications and telecom.
Leadership comments
Matt Garman, Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Global Services at AWS, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership. "Together with AWS's comprehensive suite of generative AI and modernization services, along with TCS's domain expertise and global delivery capabilities, our customers will benefit from accelerating their enterprise transformation," he said.
AWS is also committed to upskilling 25,000 TCS professionals to further empower the partnership, focusing on modernization needs.
Krishna Mohan, Deputy Head of AI.Cloud Unit at TCS, highlighted the strategic value of the collaboration. "This agreement offers an opportunity to drive significant value by accessing innovative technologies such as generative AI and modernization at scale for our clients globally," Mohan stated.
He also referenced the ongoing success of TCS's collaboration with AWS, including their recognition as the AWS Global System Integrator (GSI) Partner of the Year - Global at AWS re:Invent 2023.
Focused modernization in financial services
Susheel Vasudevan, Business Group Head, BFSI—Americas at TCS, detailed the specific impact on the financial services sector: "Many of our customers in Financial Services have established a strong Cloud foundation and are now looking to move core systems to the cloud to drive business value."
