Tech Mahindra, a digital transformation and consulting company in India, has launched a new crowdsourcing platform, Populii.
According to the company's statement, The platform is designed to connect gig workers with major organizations for micro jobs, particularly in human-in-the-loop services. Populii aims to provide flexible work opportunities for the gig economy and assist businesses in developing competitive AI algorithms with data from trained professionals, the release notes.
What will Populii offer?
Populii will offer a wide range of opportunities in data management, microtasks, and user studies, partnering with top industry enterprises. The platform will feature gig jobs such as content rating, data collection, transcription, and annotation across various data types.
It also supports enterprises in creating advanced machine-learning models by providing access to a skilled and flexible workforce.
Operating on core principles
The platform operates on three key principles: Advise, Annotate, and Acquire, which aim to streamline enterprise operations and accelerate product development.
Tech Mahindra said that its expertise will offer advice, ensure quick annotation with high-quality machine-learning datasets, and facilitate the acquisition of diverse data types in over 80 languages.

He expressed confidence that Populii would become a primary platform for both gig workers and enterprises, driving innovation and AI success.

The company said the new platform is built on the DataMime foundation, which Tech Mahindra acquired in 2020. It offers customizable workflows on a secure, multitenant architecture.
