Deepinder Goyal and Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa
Eternal-owned quick-commerce giant Blinkit has issued a warning to brands about fraudulent claims related to product listings.
CEO Albinder Dhindsa said the company has recently observed cases where fraudsters are misleading businesses by offering shortcuts or quick access to listings on the platform.
“We’ve recently seen cases where fraudsters claim they can get you listed quickly on Blinkit. Please note: there are no shortcuts and no official partners for listing products on Blinkit,” Dhindsa wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
He clarified that listings can only be processed through Blinkit’s official channels and warned that engaging with unauthorized resellers could result in products being removed.
“If you choose to work with a reseller, do your diligence. Any misrepresentation or unauthorized activity by the reseller can get your products deactivated from the Blinkit platform if the reseller is blacklisted. We have zero tolerance for such violations to make sure our customers get only authentic products on Blinkit,” he added.
The only safe and simple way to list your products on Blinkit is through https://t.co/zC9vIzHo9E

Brands raises concern
Many people in the comment section, who represent brands, raised concerns about the user experience when registering as sellers on Blinkit.
“The problem is your team never responds to the seller's registration. The widespread fraud with sellers are going on because there is literally no predefined criteria and eligibility to list.. You guys do qualitative analysis which keeps sellers blindsided and in a hope that they will be selected,” a user wrote.
“You should plan listening sessions from your distributors and stockists to see what's being said. Policy and intention always get translated to a local verbal language and often introduce an intent change that may or may not be aligned with the written policy,” another noted.
Please make it easy for brands especially D2C brand, to get their products listed on the platform. A seamless, transparent self-serve process will remove ambiguity and cut out middlemen.
