Thyrocare, a well-known diagnostic and preventive healthcare service provider, has announced the acquisition of Polo Labs' pathology diagnostic business.

The strategic move, formalized through a business transfer agreement, will help the company expand its reach into northern India.

Additionally, It will further bolster Thyrocare's capabilities and service offerings, leveraging Polo Labs' established network in the region.

Punjab-based Polo Labs Private Limited operates 14 laboratories across Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh.

By integrating Polo Labs' existing network with Thyrocare's advanced diagnostic infrastructure, Thyrocare aims to enhance service delivery, achieve faster turnaround times, and improve patient convenience.

Enhancing diagnostic capabilities

Thyrocare, which is known for its cost-effective and high-quality diagnostic services, operates a fully automated central lab in Navi Mumbai. The lab processes over 75,000 specimens nightly and provides a rapid 4-8-hour turnaround for 90% of tests.

The acquisition of Polo Labs aligns with Thyrocare's strategy to enhance its diagnostic capabilities and extend its reach across India.

Founded by Arokiaswamy Velumani, Thyrocare is a fully automated diagnostic laboratory with a focus on providing quality reports at affordable costs to laboratories and hospitals in India and other countries

The company serves over 2,000 cities domestically and globally.
