TikTok Is Moving Quickly To Resolve The Platform Issues In India And USA

Chinese company Bytedance owned short video app TikTok is moving quickly to resolve its platform issues in India and the USA.

Bytedance is quick to unban its app in India because the majority of its platform users were from India. The Ban of TikTok in India has negatively affected the growth of Bytedance.

Earlier this year, US Prime Minister Donald Trump said to Bytedance, if they want to operate their business in the USA, they will need to sell majority stakes of its platform to the US company.

Further, Bytedance was in talks to sell its US operation to Apple but Apple denied the offer, said we aren't interested in buying TikTok.

Meanwhile, Microsoft is also in talks with Bytedance to buy the US operation of TikTok.

Furthermore, After the ban of TikTok in India, the platform CEO Kevin Mayer announced his resignation from his position.

Responding to this situation, ByteDance founder Zhang Yiming wrote a letter to its employees and shareholders highlighting that we are moving quickly to resolve the platform issues in India and the US.

According to the reports, Kevin Mayer, An American Business and CEO of TikTok, quits and resigned from its position.

"I have decided to leave the company," Mayer said, explaining that "as the political environment has sharply changed, I have done significant reflection on what the corporate structural changes will be required... and as we expect to reach a resolution very soon."

Moreover, responding to the statement of Kevin Mayer, Zhang Yiming said, 'I agree that we have faced so many political circumstances during this year(it) could have a significant impact on his job in any scenario, but particularly given his global role while he is from the USA.

Bytedance has assured its employees and stakeholders that we are quickly looking for the solution to resolve the platform issues in India and the USA. On August 6, Donald Trump said Bytedance have 90 days extended date to sell its US operations to the US-based company.

According to the latest reports, Walmart has partnered with Microsoft Corporation to buy the US operation ok TikTok.

Since July, The Indian government has banned more than 100+ Chinese apps including TikTok, Helo, Clubfactory, Xender, and others.
