Traveltech firm ixigo parent Le Travenues Technology Limited has announced a 42% year-on-year jump in revenue from operations to Rs 241.8 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2024 (Q3 FY25), driven by higher train and flight bookings.
The surge contributed to a 48% increase in the firm’s Gross Transaction Value (GTV), which crossed Rs 4,036.3 crore during the quarter.
Rise in GTV
According to the company’s filings, train GTV rose 27% year-on-year while flight GTV climbed 73%, and bus GTV posted 63% growth over the prior-year period. The contribution margin climbed 32% to Rs 102.5 crore, reflecting the ongoing shift among Indian consumers toward booking travel online.
Meanwhile, EBITDA came in at Rs 26.6 crore, up 36% from the same quarter last year, and adjusted EBITDA, which factors in ESOP expenses and excludes other income, increased 25% to Rs 24.3 crore.
Profit halved to Rs 15.5 crore
ixigo's profit after tax stood at Rs 15.5 crore, down from Rs 30.6 crore in Q3 FY24, mainly due to a deferred tax expense of Rs 5.9 crore this quarter versus a deferred tax gain of Rs 16.8 crore in the previous period.
"Q3 FY25 has been our best quarter ever! We hit new all-time high records for MAU, GTV, Revenue from Operations as well as EBITDA this quarter. For 9M FY25 vs 9M FY24 we have doubled our EBITDA from Rs.34 Crores to Rs.68 Crores while gaining market share in all our lines of business. With continued investments in new areas including hotels and AI-based agentic tools, we remain optimistic about our ability to grow faster than the overall OTA market in the mid-term," said Rajnish Kumar, Group Co-CEO, ixigo and Aloke Bajpai, Group CEO.
Saurabh Devendra Singh, Group CFO, ixigo, said, "Q3 FY25 marks both a milestone and a stepping stone for our business. Our GTV growth remains robust at over 48%, and our ability to invest in this growth while maintaining a double-digit Adjusted EBITDA margin of 10%+ is a testament to our prudence."
