Truecaller, a Sweden-based renowned platform for verifying contacts and blocking unwanted communications, today unveiled its AI-Powered Call Recording feature in India.
The new feature, which is available for both iOS and Android users, allows users to record incoming and outgoing calls directly within the Truecaller app. The feature aims to enhance user experience by providing a convenient and efficient method to capture and manage important conversations, as per the company's statement.
Is it a paid feature?
The AI Call Recording feature is a paid feature and is accessible through Truecaller's Premium subscription. Truecaller said it is an advanced cloud-based recording that offers a high level of voice clarity.
Notably, Users can now record and transcribe calls in English and Hindi, making it a versatile tool for personal and professional use. The service, initially launched in English-speaking markets like the US, is set to expand to additional markets and languages, the company said.
Empowering users with AI
Truecaller said it has integrated artificial intelligence (AI) to offer users the ability to engage fully in their conversations without the distraction of note-taking.
The AI technology provides a detailed transcription of the entire call, along with an AI-generated summary.

User-friendly design across platforms
For iPhone users, the process involves a simple tap in the Truecaller app to start recording calls, with recordings stored locally or backed up on iCloud.
Android users will have a dedicated recording button or a 'floating' button for other diallers, with notifications alerting users when recordings and transcriptions are ready.
