Eric Swider, director at Trump Media & Technology Group Corp, announced that companies he represents plan to invest Rs 1 lakh crore over the next 10 years in Telangana.

The announcement was made on Monday at the Telangana Rising Global Summit, where Day 1 investment agreements reached Rs 2.43 lakh crore.

Swide said the bulk of the proposed investment would be directed towards “Bharat Future City”, the state’s flagship 765 sq km integrated urban project planned near Meerkhanpet.

He praised Telangana’s rapid economic transformation, investor-friendly policies and the confidence offered by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and his team.

Swider described the long-term commitment as more than a financial venture, calling it an opportunity to contribute to “meaningful transformation” at scale.

“Investment decisions are not only about returns; they are about contributing to meaningful transformation and Telangana offers that opportunity,” he said.

According to the reports, TMTG has already signed agreements worth Rs 41,000 crore to set up an international media and smart technology hub in the state. The project is expected to create thousands of jobs and position Telangana as a strategic centre for TMTG’s expanding global footprint.

Swider said the organisation intends to deploy additional capital over the next 10 years across real estate, infrastructure and technology development within Future City.

He also reflected on the company’s journey in the United States, including the two-and-a-half-year process of taking Truth Social public, which he said was rooted in the defence of freedom of expression.

Swider added that India had emerged as “the new centre of global technology capital”, noting that technology talent and capital formation are increasingly concentrated in the country.

“India is on the rise and will lead the world in technology. We want to be part of that future,” he said.

Trump-branded residential projects already exist in Mumbai, Pune, Gurugram and Kolkata through licensing partnerships.

The Telangana plan marks a shift toward larger, capital-intensive ventures that include media, hospitality, smart infrastructure and real estate development inside Bharat Future City.

The township is also attracting proposals beyond the TMTG ecosystem, including a world-class film city backed by actor Ajay Devgn, a Vantara-linked animal rescue centre, and hotel developments estimated at Rs 3,000 crore.
