Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi tries Uber Shuttle bus in Bengaluru, says 'Uber in India...'

Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi, who is on his visit to India, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a picture of himself trying the company's Shuttle Bus service with his colleagues in Bengaluru, Karnataka. 

"Excited to check out the Uber Shuttle bus at our Bangalore office along with the hugely talented team behind it. Cars, bikes, autos, and buses - Uber in India is a one-stop mobility hub," the CEO wrote.

He concluded his post with two images: one showing the interior of a shuttle bus with everyone smiling at the camera, including Dara Khosrowshahi, and the other depicting the CEO standing outside the shuttle bus.

What is Uber Shuttle?

Uber Shuttle enhances India's mobility options, which include cars, two-wheelers, and three-wheelers, as part of its multi-modal strategy. The tech team at Uber has added tech-enabled features to the Shuttle, similar to other products on the Uber app.

Last year, The ride-hailing giant partnered with Kolkata's State Transport Department to start a B2C 'Uber Shuttle' service in March 2024. Uber Shuttle features air-conditioned buses on predefined routes, allowing commuters to pre-book seats up to a week in advance, live tracking of buses, and accurate ETA information. 

The service also offers cashless payments and a 24/7 Safety Line.
