The company’s net loss widened 32% to Rs 75.5 crore from Rs 56.8 crore a year earlier, according to its filings with the Registrar of Companies. Revenue from operations declined 9% to Rs 223.2 crore in FY25 from Rs 245.3 crore in FY24, marking the second straight year of contraction.

In FY24, sales had already dropped 29% year-on-year. Including Rs 9 crore from other income, comprising interest on deposits and gains on financial assets, WROGN’s total income stood at Rs 232.3 crore, down from Rs 265.7 crore in the previous year.

Founded in 2014 by Anjana and Vikram Reddy, WROGN offers casual wear, footwear, and accessories for men. The brand sells across its own website, marketplaces such as Myntra, Flipkart, and Meesho, and offline stores. It competes with Snitch, Bewakoof, The Pant Project, and Rare Rabbit in the D2C fashion space.

Despite lower sales, total expenses rose 2% to Rs 312.6 crore from Rs 306.4 crore in FY24. Procurement of goods remained the largest cost, at Rs 123.4 crore in FY25, compared with Rs 126.7 crore the previous year.

Employee benefit expenses climbed 21% to Rs 38.9 crore, while spending on advertising and promotions surged 63% to Rs 49.2 crore. Commission paid to selling agents also rose 29% to Rs 40 crore. These increases left WROGN’s financial ratios under strain.

As of March 2025, accumulated losses had mounted to Rs 709 crore. The company has raised over $90 million since inception from investors including Aditya Birla Group, Accel Partners, Flipkart, and Alteria Capital.

In June 2024, it received Rs 125 crore (about $15 million) from Aditya Birla’s TMRW House of Brands, followed by another $9 million in October. Aditya Birla Digital Fashion now holds a 32.8% stake in WROGN.
