Indian technology company Wipro has announced the appointment of Anne-Marie Rowland as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Capco, effective from April 1, 2024.
Rowland's association with Capco is not new. She has been serving the company as the Managing Director in the UK and Ireland for over a decade and now steps into her new role with a wealth of experience.
Replacing Lance Levy
Rowland will succeed Lance Levy, who has led Capco for nearly ten years. Levy will transition to a new role as Capco’s strategic advisor.
Lance Levy, Capco’s current Chief Executive Officer, said, “Capco is an incredibly special business, and I am honored to have led the company, and very grateful to all of those who have played such an important part in the company’s founding and growth, and especially our people, who work tirelessly in fulfilling our commitment to innovation and transformational outcomes for our clients.
What did the Wipro CEO say?
As the new CEO of Capco, Rowland will report to Wipro CEO and Managing Director Thierry Delaporte and become a member of Wipro’s Executive Committee (WEC).
“Lance has provided unmatched leadership to Capco for over a decade. Under his guidance, Capco has differentiated itself as an industry-leading full-service transformation consultancy, and become a key growth pillar for Wipro,” said Delaporte.
“I’m glad to announce Lance’s continued support as Strategic Advisor, helping Annie and Capco’s business through a carefully planned transition. Annie has a deep understanding of Capco, our clients, teams, and the Consulting industry. I’m proud to welcome Annie to lead Capco into the future, to its next phase of growth," Delaporte added.
Wipro highlights Capco's growth
Since Wipro's acquisition of Capco in April 2021 for $1.45 billion, the consulting firm has become a pivotal growth pillar for Wipro, especially in the consulting domain.
Delaporte highlighted Capco's contribution to Wipro's revenue and its role in enhancing the company's presence in the banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) vertical. Despite a projected revenue decline for Wipro in FY24, Capco's performance under Rowland's leadership is anticipated with optimism.
Rowland’s vision for Capco
Anne-Marie Rowland shared her vision for Capco, emphasizing the importance of adapting to the rapidly changing needs of clients in the face of emerging technologies and evolving business landscapes.
“I am delighted about the opportunity to lead Capco into the next phase of its journey,” said Annie Rowland, Capco’s incoming Chief Executive Officer. “As a long-time Capco veteran, I am committed to preserving all that makes Capco special: our client relationships, our unique and authentic culture, and our focus on innovation and creativity.
