Yatra Online Ltd. has appointed veteran finance executive Anuj Kumar Sethi as its interim chief financial officer, a day after outgoing Group CFO Rohan Purshottamdas Mittal completed his tenure on April 10, 2025.
"After careful consideration. I have made the decision to resign from the post of Group Chief Financial Officer at the Company. This decision is a personal one as I wish to explore new opportunities," Mittal earlier said in his resignation letter.
The company said his term starts immediately and will run until the travel services company selects a permanent CFO.
Who is Anuj Kumar Sethi?
Sethi is no stranger to Yatra. A cost accountant by training, he earlier served as the firm's CFO and spent more than a decade in senior finance and accounts roles. Before joining Yatra, he worked with Airfreight Ltd. His familiarity with the company's books and operations is expected to smooth the transition.
Yatra, which offers online travel booking across India, said the move keeps its leadership structure compliant with Section 203 of the Companies Act, 2013. The board's Nomination and Remuneration Committee and its Audit Committee both backed Sethi's return to the finance helm.
Mittal thanks Yatra team
In his resignation letter, Mittal thanked the Yatra team and promised a smooth handover. "I would like to express my gratitude for the support that has been provided and wish Yatra the very best for continued success," he wrote.
Sethi now takes charge at the start of a busy summer travel season, giving him little time to settle in. The company has not announced a timeline for naming a permanent CFO, but the board said the search is underway.
