Gurgaon-based healthcare startup Wellversed has acquired Delhi NCR-based Sportfit, a health coaching startup that helps people to attain fitness through physical activities and health transformation coaching. The deal was in an undisclosed amount.
With this development, Healthcare startup Wellversed aims to scale and strengthen its health transformation programme by incorporating Sportfit’s proprietary coaching methodology and technology for diet and fitness coaching. It is also planning to enable over 100,000 paid transformations by the end of 2021.
The acquisition of Sportfit will augment the ‘Wellness Servicing’ team at Wellversed, increasing the team strength to around 100 employees, the startup mentioned in a press statement.
In late October 2020, Wellversed has raised an undisclosed amount in a pre-Series A funding round led by Yuvraj Singh founded YMC Venture Capital. That investment valued the startup at Rs 100 crore (or about $13 million).
Founded in 2018 by Aanan Khurma, Aditya Seth, and Ripunjay Chachan. Wellversed enables the production of customized clinical food products, offers diet planning and nutrition guidance through various health-nutrition experts.
Wellversed is funded by prominent investors such as Yuvraj Singh’s YWC Venture Capital, KLUB Works, Shankar Narayanan, Alok Mittal, Govind Rajan, among others.

Founded in August 2019 by Aaris Kalra, Health coaching startup Sportfit (FitterPrise Solutions Pvt. Ltd.) helps users to attain fitness through physical activities and health transformation coaching. It claims to have a presence in over 100 athletic venues across the Delhi NCR region.
"Something that excites me about Wellversed is the strong coupling between genuine nutrition products and health coaching that is an integral part of their approach," said Aaris Kalra, Founder, Sportfit.
"Since Wellversed excels in the nutrition supply-chain and has hundreds of perfectly crafted functional food products in its portfolio, it increases the pace of health and athletic transformations multiple times," he added.
Currently, Aaris Kalra is leading the sales operations at Wellversed.
Wellversed claims to have a presence in Metro cities, Tier 1 cities, and aims to expand in Tier 2 cities as well as overseas markets over the next year.
