Quick commerce platform Blinkit has officially entered Jammu, offering rapid delivery services through three newly launched stores. The Zomato-owned company announced the expansion on Sunday, positioning itself to serve growing customer demand in the region.

Stores and coverage

Blinkit's new outlets are located in Trikuta Nagar, Roop Nagar, and Akhnoor Road. According to Founder and CEO Albinder Dhindsa, the Trikuta Nagar store will cater to surrounding areas such as Preet Nagar and Railhead Road.

Meanwhile, the Roop Nagar outlet will reach Durga Nagar and Bhawaninagar, and the Akhnoor Road store will serve Shakti Nagar and Rehari Colony.

Advertisment

“We are excited to serve customers in this region and bring our promise of quick and reliable deliveries to their doorsteps,” Dhindsa said in a LinkedIn post.

Blinkit’s entry into Jammu intensifies competition among quick commerce players in India. Rivals such as Zepto and Swiggy Instamart are also vying for market dominance, with each company looking to capitalize on rising demand for fast delivery services.

Market outlook

India’s quick commerce market is currently valued at about $3.34 billion and is projected to reach $9.95 billion by 2029, growing at a compound annual growth rate of more than 4.5%.

Despite this growth, reports indicate the segment has only penetrated about 7% of its total addressable market, estimated at $45 billion. This gap suggests there is still significant room for development and expansion in the quick commerce space.
