Bengaluru-based foodtech major Swiggy, which competes with profitable Zomato, has introduced a new Market Intelligence Dashboard designed to offer comprehensive insights to its restaurant partners.
The tool aims to equip restaurants with critical data to enhance their business strategies and operational efficiency.
It is available to all partner restaurants, regardless of size and cuisine, and is intended to help them navigate the competitive food delivery industry.
Overview tab
The dashboard features an Overview Tab that provides a holistic view of a restaurant's performance compared to the overall market.
This includes key metrics such as business operations, customer engagement, and spending. The tab not only gives an overall score but also breaks down scores in each area, allowing restaurant partners to benchmark their performance against market standards.
"The Market Intelligence Dashboard is a powerful tool for our restaurant partners," said Deepak Maloo, AVP – Supply at Swiggy. "It effectively helps partners benchmark their performance versus the best in class, understand their areas of improvement or strength and make informed business decisions."
Business and operational metrics
The dashboard includes specific tabs for Business Metrics and Operational Metrics. The Business Metrics Tab focuses on essential business indicators such as order growth and average order value, benchmarking these against industry best practices.
This helps restaurants identify areas for growth and improvement. The Operational Metrics Tab evaluates operational efficiency through metrics like order cancellations, availability, and customer complaints, ensuring that restaurants can maintain high standards of service consistently.
Funnel and spend metrics
Another crucial feature is the Funnel Metrics Tab, which analyzes customer behaviour and conversion rates. This provides insights into how customers interact with the restaurant’s menu and services, vital for optimizing menu offerings and improving customer satisfaction.
The Spend Metrics Tab tracks marketing investments on Swiggy, including ads and discounts. This allows restaurants to measure the effectiveness of their marketing efforts, helping them optimize their marketing spend.
The Market Intelligence Dashboard is designed to be accessible in a self-serve format, ensuring that restaurants of all sizes can leverage this tool to enhance their competitive edge.
Swiggy's focus on providing actionable insights aims to support restaurant partners in making data-driven decisions to improve their operations and profitability.
The launch comes as Swiggy prepares for its IPO, with plans to raise $1.25 billion, and continues to scale up its quick commerce platform, Instamart.
Earlier reports claimed that e-commerce giant Amazon is in talks with Swiggy for stake acquisition in its quick commerce business, Swiggy Instamart.
