Zuppa Geo Navigation Technologies has partnered with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, to set up a Drone Centre of Excellence (CoE) at IISc Bangalore, with the aim to support the development of indigenous unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technologies in India.

The CoE will function as a dedicated hub for research, design, and testing activities related to UAV systems. It will focus on next-generation drone technologies, including aerial systems, autonomous platforms, and cyber-physical integration.

The collaboration brings together Zuppa’s cyber-physical technology stack and IISc’s academic expertise in aerodynamics, robotics, controls, and systems engineering.

The partners said that the centre is expected to accelerate the development of indigenous drone technologies suited to a wide range of use cases, including defence, agriculture, logistics, disaster management, and smart city infrastructure.
