The business faced a really tough time due to the covid pandemic due to its very own nature of being contagious. Due to social distancing norms still being laid out so the business has certain limitations that are thwarting its growth. But the saying goes true here too that every disaster comes with great opportunities which need to be grabbed. If these opportunities are grabbed and leveraged to their fullest that wonders can be achieved. OTT platform lured more subscribers due to closure of theatre and cenema’s and for the same reasons many movies were released directly on OTT platforms. Some of the well known OTT platforms are Netflix, Amazon Prime, Sony liv, Ullu etc. So European market is alredy witnessing rise of same starups in OTT platform like Discover.film, Uncut and Filmdoo. Although the consumers behavior was already changing but the impact of quarantine and social isolation increased the pace of rate of change to adapt to new habit quickly.

IT and Technology

Work from home and Remote working became new normal and the need for IT and technology faced rising demands in many sectors to make an adjustment to production and HR. To handle the process from a remote distance, security and productivity also required so there are demands for Clouds, SAAS, PAAS, and IoT-based services to optimize their process and have a secure data platform. Businesses are realizing the importance and adapting to the IT environment to build robust working environments.

E-commerce and Delivery Services

Due to social distancing norms laid out by the government to stop the spread of corona virus, people are refraining from gathering at market place due to personal choice or due to restrictions imposed by government, so the delivery sector here has an opportunity. Due to increasing IT technology and improving technology infrastructure this industry is already growing at good rate but pandeming acted like a catalyst which increased the pace of the growth.

Education institutions are not allowed to run, online education and web courses became the need of the hour. The online education sector is serving the need and has become an alternative for conventional classroom teaching and learning.

Health and wellness Need for strong immunity and Health care became the primary need during the pandemic and will retain the top priority in the mind of the consumers. World-wide health emergency is playing and people facing immunity deficiency paranoia are looking for different support mechanisms from healthcare.
