Roadcast

In the intricate and fast-paced realm of logistics and supply chain management, businesses across the globe face a myriad of challenges that can hinder their efficiency and growth.

One of the most pressing issues is the lack of real-time visibility and transparency in operations, which can lead to delays, increased costs, and decreased customer satisfaction. Traditional systems often rely on outdated methods of tracking and management, leaving companies unable to respond swiftly to changes or disruptions in their supply chain.

This gap not only affects the operational capabilities of businesses but also impacts their ability to make informed decisions, optimize routes, and ensure the timely delivery of goods. Moreover, the logistics sector has been slow to adopt new technologies, resulting in resistance to change that further exacerbates these challenges.

Companies find themselves grappling with inefficient fleet management, inadequate tracking mechanisms, and a general lack of integration between different stages of the supply chain. This scenario is further complicated by the growing demands of consumers for faster and more reliable deliveries, putting additional pressure on logistics companies to enhance their operational efficiencies.

The gap in the market, coupled with personal experiences from their previous professional roles, led Vishal Jain, Rahul Mehra, and Anshul Jain to establish Roadcast in 2015.

The trio, with backgrounds in finance, product design, and IT respectively, combined their diverse expertise to create a solution that would revolutionize the logistics sector by offering comprehensive solutions beyond mere navigation.

The early days

The early days of Roadcast were marked by the typical challenges of entrepreneurship: transitioning from secure careers to the uncertainties of starting a new business, navigating the complexities of the logistics industry, and developing a technology that could genuinely make a difference.

Despite these hurdles, the founders' commitment to innovation and their ability to swiftly adapt and build a passionate team allowed Roadcast to overcome these initial obstacles. Roadcast's journey from a fledgling startup to a prominent player in the logistics and supply chain industry is a testament to the founders' vision and the company's innovative approach.

The platform, powered by AI, offers a suite of customizable software and hardware solutions that provide real-time visibility and insights into fleet management.

Empowering businesses streamline operations

With features like advanced GPS tracking, route optimization, EV management, fuel monitoring, and more, Roadcast empowers businesses to streamline their operations, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency.

The technology behind Roadcast integrates AI and IoT to offer efficient fleet management and delivery services. For instance, AI dash cameras in vehicles enhance monitoring and safety by analyzing real-time footage to detect potential hazards.

Similarly, the platform's fuel monitoring system uses AI to analyze consumption patterns and optimize routes. This comprehensive approach to integrating technology into logistics management has set Roadcast apart in the industry.

Roadcast has raised $2 million in a funding round from Jubilant FoodWorks. The funding has been instrumental in accelerating Roadcast's growth, enabling the expansion of its technology stack, increasing its vehicle visibility capabilities, and expanding its global footprint with offices in Vietnam and clients in the UAE and London.

The company's expansion strategy has been focused on strategic partnerships, technological innovations, and understanding local market dynamics.

By collaborating with clients across diverse sectors, including UDAAN, Delhi Police, and Jubilant FoodWorks, Roadcast has managed to expand its presence across 50 cities and 7 countries. This expansion has been facilitated by localized hiring and adapting the platform to meet specific market needs. Roadcast's impact on its clients has been profound.

For instance, its solutions have transformed operations for Delhi Police by enhancing fleet visibility and response times. In waste management, Roadcast's real-time tracking has optimized route planning and resource allocation, demonstrating the platform's ability to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Operating on a B2B and B2C business model, Roadcast's primary revenue streams include licensing its technology tools, offering customization options, and providing support and maintenance.

The company also sells hardware solutions through e-commerce platforms, connecting with both businesses and consumers seeking advanced tracking and management devices. With a team of 100 and a remarkable 300% increase in revenue in a short period, Roadcast is on an aggressive growth trajectory.

Expanding headcount

The company plans to expand its team to 500 in the next two years, focusing on international expansion, particularly in the EU, GCC, MENA, and SEA regions.

A significant portion of the recent funding will support these initiatives, including entering new markets, developing innovative products, and enhancing operational capacity. Looking to the future, Roadcast envisions a logistics and supply chain ecosystem driven by tech-enabled, sustainable solutions.

The company aims to be at the forefront of this evolution, harnessing AI, IoT, and data analytics to contribute to a more efficient, connected, and sustainable supply chain ecosystem.

With the logistics industry increasingly adopting technology, Roadcast is well-positioned to play a pivotal role in its growth, driven by government initiatives and a global shift towards more integrated and transparent logistics solutions.
