Hyring co-founders - Adithyan RK and Surya N
In India and beyond, hiring is broken.
Recruiters spend nearly 70% of their time screening resumes, yet only 10% of candidates make it to an interview. That means a vast pool of potential talent is being overlooked—simply because there's not enough time or bandwidth to assess everyone fairly.
Candidates, on the other hand, often send in applications only to receive silence in return. The cycle of ghosting, bias, and inefficiency has become a universal frustration for both sides of the job market.
It was this inefficiency that led Adithyan RK—a self-taught entrepreneur who started building tech solutions at age 15—to co-found Hyring, alongside AI engineer Surya N. Their solution: an AI-powered interviewer that conducts real-time video interviews, screens candidates, detects fraud, and delivers deep candidate insights for just "$1" per interview.
“Too many good candidates were being missed, and recruiters were overwhelmed. We wanted to fix the first round of hiring,” says Adithyan.
Launched in January 2025, Hyring isn't just another typical recruitment tool. The founders call it an intelligent, adaptable, and conversational AI agent that can handle the most time-consuming part of hiring—the first round—with speed, accuracy, and fairness.
From Hiring Frustration to Product Innovation
The idea behind Hyring was born out of Adithyan's direct experience with recruitment bottlenecks. While running a fast-growing tech consultancy, he found himself spending an enormous amount of effort on hiring for tech and product roles. The screening process was chaotic, inconsistent, and riddled with bias. Worse, good candidates were falling through the cracks.
He began to consider whether an AI could conduct interviews like a human—fairly and at scale, without getting tired. This question marked the beginning of Hyring. With Surya—who brought AI expertise from his own work building smart tools inside their consultancy—they started developing what would become Hyring AI Interviewer.
What Makes Hyring Different?
Unlike other platforms that rely on static questions or resume parsing, Hyring is a two-way conversational AI that conducts live video interviews. The AI adapts in real time—rephrasing questions if needed, diving deeper based on answers, and actively analysing candidate responses across verbal and non-verbal parameters.
Surya designed the AI to detect fraud through a multi-layered system. It can flag issues such as:
-
Use of external monitors
-
Multiple faces or voices on screen
-
AI-generated responses
-
Lip sync issues
-
Screen-sharing attempt
At the end of each session, Hyring produces a detailed report, scoring candidates on communication, confidence, problem-solving skills, domain expertise, and overall integrity.
Supporting Notable Companies in Their Hiring Process
Hyring's client base spans startups, mid-sized tech firms, recruitment agencies, and enterprise HR teams across India, Dubai, and the U.S. While some companies use it as a primary screener, others integrate it into high-volume roles like support or inside sales.
Yet Hyring's approach isn't just employer-centric. Candidates receive automated feedback reports after the interview, detailing their strengths and areas for improvement. It's a rare B2B product that leaves a positive impression on job seekers.
In just a few months since its launch, the startup has conducted over 40,000 interviews and onboarded 500+ companies. This growth, according to the founders, was powered by product-market fit, user-friendly design, and organic referrals.
It offers instant onboarding—no integrations or long setup required. Recruiters can sign up, create a job, and start sending interview links within minutes. Now, the founders are looking ahead. Hyring is working on vertical-specific AI agents tailored for functions like sales, tech, and customer support. It is also developing multilingual capabilities to support markets in Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
Bootstrapped and Sustainable For Now
Until now, Hyring has been entirely bootstrapped, fueled by revenue and customer adoption. However, as demand grows and feature complexity increases, the startup is actively talking with strategic investors.
It employs a tiered Saas subscription model, offering pricing tailored for startups, agencies, and enterprises. Plans range from Starter to Enterprise, and customers can also purchase pay-per-use interview credits for flexibility.
With this model, the startup is projecting $4 million in revenue by the end of 2025. The momentum is being driven by high-volume use cases, mid-market annual contracts, and a strong repeat usage rate.
From anti-cheat detection and personalised feedback to scalable global access, Hyring is focused on designing a system where hiring is faster, fairer, and fundamentally reimagined.
“We believe hiring won’t start with a resume anymore—it’ll start with a conversation,” Adithyan says. “We want to be the infrastructure layer powering the next billion jobs.”
