Indian EV maker Ather Energy, which battles with Bhavish Aggarwal's Ola Electric, is all set to make its first international presence.
Ather Energy has partnered with Vaidya Energy, a subsidiary of Vaidya's Organization of Industries & Trading Houses (VOITH), to introduce its flagship electric scooter, the 450X, in Nepal.
The EV maker plans to open its Experience Centre in Kathmandu this November, marking its first retail expansion outside of India.
Ather will export its 450X model, available with two battery options (2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh) and features like ParkAssist, AutoHold, FallSafe, a 7-inch TFT touchscreen with Google Maps integration, a top speed of 90 km/hr, and a certified range of 146 km.
The partnership aims to redefine Nepal’s electric two-wheeler market by enhancing the accessibility of high-performance EVs for Nepalese consumers
Vaidya Energy will facilitate the sales and service of Ather products in Nepal and will establish fast-charging stations 'Ather Grids' to mitigate range anxiety among users.
According to Ravneet Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather, Ather will also roll out public fast-charging infrastructure in the country.
