Tiger Global offered me funding on LinkedIn; initially took it as scam, says CaratLane founder

CaratLane founder Mithun Sacheti said that Tiger Global had approached him for funding in CaratLane via LinkedIn.

Mithun Sacheti told that he initially thought it was a scam.

"Tiger Global ex-Partner Lee Fixel sent a message saying, CaratLane is of interest to us. We'd love to talk to you," he added.

Recently, Titan Company acquire a 27.18% stake in Caratlane held by the founder and his family members for Rs 4,621 crore.
