Walmart-owned ecommerce giant Flipkart, which battles with Amazon in the Indian market, is reportedly preparing to mark its entry on the quick commerce sector.
The company reportedly plans to launch 10-15 minute delivery services in at least a dozen cities within the next six to eight weeks. If this happens, Flipkart will challenge established players like Zepto, Blinkit, and Swiggy's Instamart.
Notably, The Walmart-owned company is setting up a network of dark stores in key cities, including Bengaluru, Delhi (NCR), and Hyderabad, to support this initiative.
The company may offer a wider range of products than its competitors, focusing on FMCG, groceries, daily essentials, and eventually expanding into electronics and fashion.
