According to Reuters report, Mukesh Ambani's JioCinema is set to appoint Google former executive Kiran Mani as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
In fact, the report claimed that Kiran Mani has already started working for the company will oversee technology development for the OTT service and facilitate partnerships with Hollywood studios in his latest role.
Kiran Mani is the General Manager and the Managing Director of Android and Google Play in Asia Pacific Region (APAC).
He has been working at Google for almost 14 years and has held several senior leadership roles in the company.
Apart from this, Kiran has been the Senior Director of Marketing, Strategy, and Operations at tech giant Microsoft.
Interestingly, He is also into entrepreneurship and an investor in The Bodhi Tree. In 2009, He co-founded Fosbury Flop, an adtech platform for last minute media buying and crowd-sourcing marketing solutions. The company was later acquired by an undisclosed entity.
He initially started his professional career as an Account Planner in Ogilvy & Mather and later joined technology company IBM, where he held several leadership roles, including General Manager Vice President, and Country Manager.
